Facebook - Another breach in the wall

The MIT SpamConference of 2010 was host to a presentation about the dangers of social media, as applied primarily to Facebook.

In the wake of the recent spate of attacks making use of malicious facebook pages, we thought it interesting and timely to post this paper by Threat Intelligence Team leader George Lucian Petre.

The paper discusses the threat models specific to social networks and details the results of an experiment performed to ascertain exactly how trusting Facebook users are in performing potentially-risky actions such as joining unknown groups.
